Restoring Land. Building Community. Creating Something That Lasts.
Derby Disc Golf Park is a nonprofit land restoration and recreation project inside E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky. We're restoring nearly 150 acres impacted by invasive species and creating a permanent public asset for families, youth, and outdoor recreation. Through thoughtful stewardship and community engagement, we're building something meaningful that will serve generations to come.

Derby Disc Golf Park restores overgrown parkland and transforms it into a destination disc golf park that serves families, schools, recreational players, and competitive athletes. But disc golf isn't just the activity—it's the stewardship engine that keeps this land open, maintained, and valued year after year.

This project represents a commitment to Kentucky's natural heritage and our community's future. We're creating a model for long-term land stewardship that benefits both people and the environment.
Restore
Remove invasive species that have overtaken the land, reopen previously inaccessible areas, and support native habitat restoration. We're committed to healing this landscape and protecting Kentucky's natural biodiversity for future generations.
Engage
Create meaningful outdoor access for families, youth programs, schools, and the broader Louisville community. This park will serve as a gathering place where people of all ages can connect with nature and each other.
Sustain
Build an ongoing stewardship model that keeps the land active, maintained, and cared for year after year. Disc golf provides the framework for continuous community involvement and environmental responsibility.

A Place With Deep Roots
This land holds a unique piece of Kentucky history that deserves acknowledgment and respect. While our focus remains on restoration and community access, we recognize the stories this landscape carries. We'll honor that legacy thoughtfully as we write the next chapter—one of healing, stewardship, and shared community value that serves all who visit.
The transformation of these 150 acres represents both a return to health and a commitment to the future. As we clear invasive species and restore native ecosystems, we're also creating space for new memories, connections, and traditions that will shape Louisville's relationship with this land for generations.
